neat! I love the fisheye look! I really should get a lens like that. I noticed you used Nikon but what type of lens would you recommend to use for Canon? I really want to purchase a a super wide angle lens of some sort but the ones I'd like are way over my budget.....:(

I know that this is done with a fish eye lens but my brain is still trying to work out where I should be standing in this frame in order to get this view.

It probably varies a bit depending on the focal length of your fisheye, but generally I would say it's going to be very close. I was probably standing a lot closer than it looks.

omg...I was actually looking at this and the first thing that hit me is that I'd been on that ferris wheel. Then I read your spiel and read, 'Osaka, Japan' and I realized I had been on that ferris wheel! Small world, eh? And very nice shot.

Thanks ! It's actually a normal effect (barrel distortion) from a fisheye lens (10.5mm Nikkor).
